Wyoming Cashmere is located in the foothills of the Big Horn Mountains, along the banks of the Powder River at 5800' above sea level, Wyoming Cashmere offers fine cashmere fiber in a variety of luscious colors. We also offer colored sheep wool.
Cashmere products:
Our herd of cashmere goats averages 80 head. The goats are run on rangeland, meadows and river bottom. The main purpose is naturally controlling weeds and converting it to cashmere, "the fiber of King's". Herd management is very natural, with minimal inputs, other than supplemental feed during the extreme winter months. Kidding takes place on an intensive basis in the spring. The kid crop each year averages 200%. The herd consists of a wide variety of cashmere colors, ranging from white to blue to mocha to dark brown to cream to black, and every shade in between! Items offered by Wyoming Cashmere: - Natural colored roving (white, grey, tan, light brown, medium brown & dark brown) - Raw cashmere (various shades of fiber) - Breeding animals (kids or mature does or billies) - Weed Eaters (converting weeds to cashmere) - Fiber Producers (outstanding individuals of all colors) - Stud services (leasing rams)

We at Wyoming Cashmere would like to remind everyone that each and every one of our products has been raised 100% naturally from healthy happy animals. All day "the Girl's" have the run of our large Wyoming ranch, yet each evening they are gathered by a well trained Border Collie and secured in a cozy shed to keep them safe from night time predators and unexpected harsh weather. During the cold winter months "the Girl's" receive a supplemental feed in order to maintain good body condition. Kidding and lambing season is intensive, with each doe and ewe receiving the best of care to ensure that "Mom and the little one's" get off to a good start. Animal well being is most important to us, and fiber production and reproduction is definitely secondary. We do not use dyes on any fiber, so our varied colors are 100% natural. Remember, we've merely converted weeds into a 100% natural cashmere and wool fiber product. This years' fiber crop has been absolutely stunning with luscious colors and interesting natural color combinations. |
